The White Peril by Omo Moses is a powerful, multigenerational memoir that shines a light on the Black American experience. Omo Moses, son of civil rights icon Bob Moses, traces Omo’s family’s journey across three generations, entwining self-discovery with his father and great-grandfather’s work and sermons.
Born in Tanzania to parents fleeing US government persecution, Omo returned to America as a young boy. His evocative narrative explores the tensions of growing up in a segregated enclave in Cambridge, MA. Omo’s passion for basketball, and his path to teaching students in the Algebra Project with his father and brothers, The White Peril captures one man’s experience with the struggles for liberation.
Omo Moses is the founder of MathTalk, a LEAF client.
