The LEAF team has been attending so many engaging and informative events these past few months and we’d like to share our takeaways with you! At the beginning of the month three of our team members traveled to Cambridge and attended “Put Your Money Where It Matters: A Practical Intro to Impact Investment for Individuals.”
Hosted by the Boston Area Sustainability Group (BASG), the event brought together individuals who are involved in the impact investing scene. The evening began with representatives from Democracy Brewing, the Boston Ujima Project, Bequia Securities, and Balanced Rock sharing personal stories about how they got involved in direct impact investing. Following these presentations, our own Managing Director and Strategy and Development team member, Amine Benali, gave a quick pitch about his experience providing technical assistance for businesses across Boston through LEAF’s Technical Assistance Program (L-TAP).Other representatives from the LEAF team Emma Turcotte, Communications and Programs Analyst, and Chris Hunter, Financial Analyst, were in the audience snapping pictures (see above) and stayed afterwards to share their own experiences in the impact investment space.
