Elevate Small Business Awarded Grant for Technical Assistance to Diverse Vendors at MA Casinos

LEAF’s Elevate Small Business team has been awarded a grant of $75,000 for the provision of technical assistance to both current and prospective minority, women, and veteran-owned businesses that contract with the Massachusetts Gaming Commission. Our team will engage with vendors and potential vendors for each of Massachusetts’ three casinos, helping to stabilize their finances and operations, or assisting them in preparing for a contract with the Commission.

Franklin County CDC, LEAF’s partner in administering the Massachusetts Food Trust Program, also received $75,000 from the Commission and will be once again partnering with LEAF on this project!

The Commission’s announcement of the pilot program, as well as testimony from LEAF’s Elevate Small Business team, can be watched here (relevant section begins 5:19:00).

We look forward to working together to help minority, women, and veteran-owned businesses capitalize on the opportunity to contract with casinos in Springfield and Everett.
