LEAF Co-Sponsors Worker Co-ops and Solidarity Economy Event in Worcester

Participants at the gathering in Worcester shared a light breakfast before the first activity

The LEAF team has been attending so many engaging and informative events these past few months and we’d like to share our takeaways with you! This March, Communications and Programs analyst, Emma Turcotte, traveled to Worcester and attended “Another World Is Here: Worker Co-ops and the Solidarity Economy in MA.”

At the gathering, Emma spent time discussing how LEAF supports the development of cooperatives across Massachusetts alongside like minded CDFIs, nonprofits, and co-op developers, such as the Cooperative Fund of New England, the United States Federation of Worker Cooperatives, the Boston Ujima Project, and Real Pickles, a worker cooperative which provides 100% organic pickles.

It was great to connect with individuals who are passionate about the cooperative world and who are enthusiastic about envisioning a new economy.
