U.S. Small Business Administration Announces LEAF Among PRIME Grant Awardees

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) recently announced $5 million in awards for its PRIME grant program, which funds training and technical assistance for disadvantaged micro-entrepreneurs.

LEAF is very excited to announce that we were selected as one of the 37 awardees out of 135 total applications. This grant will allow us to continue our great work under our partnership with Dudley Street Neighborhood Initiative, the Commonwealth Kitchen, and Project Hope.

In addition, the new financing will allow us to work closely with other micro-entrepreneurs who are interested in the worker co-op model; our expertise on the capital side of small businesses—including loan packaging services—will complement other TA providers in the field.

We are excited to keep you all updated on our work for this great program! More information on this program will be forthcoming elsewhere on LEAF’s website.
