LEAF’s executive director, Gerardo Espinoza, will be joining the board of advisors for the newly created Center for Impact Finance at the Carsey School of Public Policy at the University of New Hampshire. The center will focus on the impact finance sector, an in particular, community development finance, through a combination of rigorous research, trainings and work on applied projects in the field. The research of the Carsey Institute has been instrumental in bringing attention to the economics of cooperatives, including their groundbreaking work on manufactured home communities. This research has informed a great deal of work by LEAF’s partner, ROC USA, which assists residents of manufactured home parks cooperatively purchase the land on which their homes sit.
