LEAF Awarded Contract From City of Boston

LEAF continues to expand its provision of business support and assistance to diverse-owned businesses in the Greater Boston Area. We are excited about an upcoming partnership with the City of Boston’s Office of Economic Development, where we have been awarded a contract to work on their On-Site Technical Assistance Program.

The program helps connect Boston-based small businesses with a wide range of needs to a pool of local contractors with an equally wide range of skills. LEAF will be a part of this pool, and will work with a number of businesses through this outreach opportunity. Our application was praised for our language capacity (Spanish, French, and Arabic) and our expertise with cooperatives.

We are excited about this new partnership with the City and see it as another step forward for our initiatives to help diverse small businesses and cooperatives. The City of Boston is also ramping up initiatives to help incubate more worker co-ops in the Greater Boston Area, including co-op conversions.
